A Quarter for a Quarter, Real CHANGE

Rep. Mahoney admits affairs, says he broke no laws

Here is where I think Democrats are busted that they don't offer anything different. They run on a platform that the Republican party is full of corruption and that they have falsely represent themselves. Democrats choose to offer a better way.

Here we have a Democrat who ran on a platform of family values as the Republican was busted on inappropriate behaviour, but he himself was engaged in two (2) extra-marital affairs, but he says he "broke no laws". Hello??? What about the law of "fidelity"???

Remember Scooter Libby? The Democrats wanted him crucified!

Yet Sandy Berger gets a slap on the wrist compared to Libby.

What about William Jefferson of Louisiana? Busted on corruption in several areas yet "On May 24, 2006, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi publicly requested Jefferson's immediate resignation from the House Ways and Means Committee, but he declined to step down."

Interesting...

So, justice is only good for Republicans but not for Democrats? And we can penalize McCain for negative campaigning but we can't concede that Obama has done the same?

Here's the CHANGE I am looking for: CONSISTENCY!

  1. "Consistency and liberal Democrats" is an oxymoron, Neo. *sigh* Wouldn't it be nice of they weren't such total hypocrites?

There's really no law against infidelity, except a spouse can sue for divorce on those grounds if they so choose. There is, however, a moral law against infidelity, but "morals and Liberals" is another oxymoron!

  2. Agreed that it is a moral law but the fact that one could run on a platform of change and commit the same sins if not worse is the annoyance for me.

Attention to those who have nothing to offer other than mindless drill or just want to harass me: DROP DEAD!

To the others whom I have enjoyed over the years, don't waste you breath on those morons. We have better things to do like contributing to society in a positive way.
