an ABEENORMAL brain

If arson was legal, I wonder how much I would have enjoyed it because I love burning down straw man arguments. I have probably erected a few myself, but that's enough of my abeenormal brain for now. This blogisphere is riddled with them. And our beloved lone pony has baited me with another one (devilish woman; she knew of my hunger for rants; and placed this burden upon me which cannot go unanswered. Thanx!). I found the following in her post about another individual quite 'intriguing':

Realized there was no God..."when i was a very young kid."

On the surface level; the argument should die here. At an age when driving, drinking and sex is not warranted because of the physical & emotionally immaturity, I would venture that the conclusion here is immature. Our circumstances do not dictate the reality to God's existence/non-existence. For this person at a young age to absolutely believe this despite the overwhelming evidence and acknowledgment by the rest of the world's understanding, shows an ineptness in the teaching positions of those who were in the life of this individual. What further is said by this individual prevents me from fully blasting the individual on the idiocy of the statement save this: "YOU'RE GROWN UP NOW! WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED NOW?"

"when my parents beat me up for what seemed like the millionth time and dog (God) didn't strike them dead on the spot with a lightning bolt as they so richly deserved."

Everyone of us experiences unfortunate things in our lives; however, EXPERIENCE IS NOT THE MITIGATING FACTOR FOR TRUTH! My father was irrational and beat the beans out of me on many occasion (some of which I rightly deserved), but that didn't nullify God's existence. There were many occasions of our refrigerator looking like the showroom model: empty! However, that didn't nullify God's existence. My mother died of breast cancer 31DEC88; but that didn't nullify God's existence. I may have ventured on crazy paths to find truth, but even in those difficult times; I never denied God's existence. Worse yet, this was all composed from an individual who was never taught who God was! Yes, I went to Catholic church growing up and even visited a few bapticostal churches on the way; but there never was a clear concise presentation and instruction as I receive now and am able to instruct on as well. I may have ignored my accountability to Him, but deny: NO! This is exactly the reason why pragmatism & existentialism are the death-dealers to intelligence and society as a whole. These are the paradigm of this post-modern era. Sadly though, people today do not see the harmful destruction 'unthinking' like this produces.

A friend of mine; helped me to empathize with this person because as a kid they were probably given the whole "God loves you and protects" lessons but never heard of hardships, struggle and tribulation. The parents probably attempted to shelter their kids as did Buddha's father. However, we know how that went! The people in this person's life whether they were parents, teachers. family or friends; who failed to instruct the person on reality deserve the white glove smack! However, their negligence only carries so far. Sooner or later, we all must be accountable for our own decisions and for this person to ignore God's grace & mercy thus far is quite saddening. I'll conclude this thought in a minute.

"...things only continue to get worse. basically; i am unemployed/unemployable. i am scraping by on unemployment insurance (UI), which covers my rent, just. a short time ago, i gave up hope that i might EVER find anything. my current dilemma; after UI ends, i don't know what to do with my (1) birds, (2) books, (3) CD collection. i am surrounded by successful people here, so how do i write about a worthless, meaningless, miserable life wasted on simply trying to survive when there is nothing whatsoever for me to survive for? as it is, this blog and my readers are the only parts of my life that give me any pleasure that have not yet been taken away from me. "

Not knowing this person's plight fully, I can only fault the individual and society (I am not a Marxist) in many ways. I blame this individual in that the voice doesn't seem to echo any culpability to their plight. What makes this individual "unemployed/unemployable"? Is it a disability? Is it negligence on their part to get further education? Was it countless bad decisions that has alienated themselves from the realm of reason or opportunity? Society's culpability is that if this person has done no wrong and is truly incapable of providing for themselves, then there is a moral obligation to meet this individual's needs. I blame the successful people who surround this individual (if they are not referring to fellow bloggers); who are able to help and they choose not to.

Yet, I am intrigued in that this individual has birds, books, and a CD collection. That means that at some point in time the person was able to afford these items. Was God non-existent then as well? When leaving the home and finding new residence, which was a blessing in and of itself, where did God go?

My biggest contention with this is that God's existence for people normally such as this is determined based on the sucess of the individual's life. Be that the case, does Moscow not exist because I haven't been there? Air cannot exist because I cannot see it. Lava isn't really hot because I hadn't a chance to go sun bathing in it. Plane hijackers are only myth because I was never on a hijacked plane. The concentration camps could have never existed because I never experienced the gas chambers!

Said enough? If experience were the final arbiter of truth then we would never have a basis for truth because it would be literally impossible for 6.5 billion people to experience everything and come to the same conclusion on the same experience. So, logically we must yield to the undeniable fact that truth was established before our feable brains could comprehend it. Did the laws of gravity cease to exist before we could comprehend it? No! Gid established the set realities and truths we explore and experience on a daily basis long ago.

a worthless, meaningless, miserable life wasted on simply trying to survive when there is nothing whatsoever for me to survive for?

Such despondency! Too many drugs and not enough reality could make one come to such a conclusion. The great philosophers of the Great Enlightenment Excrement delved in this maniacism towards the end of their lives and what did it do? It drove them to further insanity.

this blog and my readers are the only parts of my life that give me any pleasure that have not yet been taken away from me.

I love you guys, but this blog is not my life. Maybe it could be me married to lone pony (smile) or any of my other female single blogging Christians. However, there is much to do outside of this great realm of thought and passion. If this is all this person has then I think someone needs to be reintegrated with civilization. There needs to be classes like Humans 101, Why we interact (See Genesis 1 & 2; main textbook)?

Concluding my earlier thought. This person has accountability issues. They act as if there is not responsibility on their part for happiness. Also, the Bible shows that perfect contentment will be at the end of this age when evil is finally vanquished. Until then, to presuppose bliss without trials; to presuppose happiness without hell; to presuppose beauty without horror means you're out of touch with the reality of today. God never promised even Christians a perfect life on this side of eternity and I am sick of churches and Christians who teach such nonsense. Maybe, this person received faulty teaching on what life would be like; but sooner or later this person will have to own up to the fact that that reality was displaced long ago.

"Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness" is one of the most famous phrases in the United States Declaration of Independence. It is listed as one of the "unalienable rights" of man. The phrase is based on the writings of John Locke, who expressed a similar concept of "life, liberty, and estate (or property)". Written by Thomas Jefferson, the words in the Declaration were a departure from the orthodoxy of Locke. Since Jefferson viewed the right to property, a concept tied to feudalism and such, as being potentially antithetical to liberty, he replaced the right to property with the right to the pursuit of happiness.1

Isn't it interesting that happiness/estate/property were things pursued but not things guaranteed? If our founding fathers could grasp something so key as contemporaries to the thinkers of the Great Excrement; how is it so difficult for people like this and the ULSR?

There is hope, and it is in Christ Jesus. Before being saved, and sometimes after, I had times of despondency. Yet, it was because I failed to keep my relationship with God at the forefront of my life. Without Him, I am nothing. With Him, life's hardships are put in proper perspective. Maybe, my answer isn't too scientific, sorry. I'll work on that end another time or shoprat, lone pony or a jacksonian can handle the charge.

ULSR

No, this is not my new way of spelling 'ulcer'. Yet, it is definitely what I believe the leftist liberal communists in the country give me. Actually, the acronym came to me this morning before I headed off to church. It's an acronym that probably has been used already with the same connotation; however I would like to re-introduced (if it has been used before).

UNION of
LIEBERAL
SOCIALIST
REPUBLICS

It's the only way I can describe the leftist liberal communists in this country. I was watching Forest Gump last night and it blew me away to see the war rebellion then and how much it is pretty much the same now. The only difference is better clothes and more sophisticated drugs. They don't deserve the word 'United' because that would mean the whole country is cahootz with these morons. Yet, VOTE 2004, said completely the opposite. 'States' is too honorable a word for them because it signifies an independent entity that took honorable steps to be recognized and acknowledged as such. 'America'. I could write a five hundred page thesis on why they don't deserve it. Yet, what is important to see is that their actions condemn them.

'Union'. Is what I feel fits better. In that they have agreed to come together for the sole purpose of thwarting the real patriots. 'Lieberal' is what they do. They lie and have no basis to stand on, making their episodes in public all the more foolish. 'Socialist' is what they are. Facist to the core. 'Republics' represents their factions that are wooven throughout our country. So, this is the FYI to when you see me use the term in the future....

Piped Dream in Cesspools

I feel real bad for the people affected by Katrina. Yet, I have a big problem with the media coming down on the federal government and the countless people crowing about negligence. Aren't there a few other states and people who were ravaged years earlier; still waiting on relief efforts? Again, the media being so determined to deflower Bush; that their lack-luster reporting is failing to deal with those people still affected from Ivan. Worse yet, there are engineers working on repairing things down there who believe the levees will not hold.

So, here again we have a BIG STORY that will not get any play and when the next Category 3 Plus storm comes in; New Orleans will be sleeping with the fishes. And, worse yet; Bush will be blamed for the idiot Nagin and his stupid comrades! I wouldn't be surprised if New Orleans doesn't get hit twice this year during hurricane season with a Category 2, which will weaken the faulty levee and then get hit with a Category 4 to decimate the area. But, I am no meteorologist. Then again, they're usually less than half accurate so my odds increase!

Swamp Thing One and a Third

Breaking news!

Kennedy makes another attempt on snuffy out another beautiful woman! See more on the article, here. However, two (2) factors saved this you lady for sure death:
  1. Her Brains
  2. His car is in Area 51
Will people ever learn? Will people still believe the streets to be safe? Who will save the day?

Being the Butt of Jokes

I have to laugh on this one before I cry. I caught this article off of one of my favorite talk show hosts; Glenn Beck. The aritcle title is German court convicts man for insulting Islam. Now, you must understand that justice must be served; however I do not think that it was in this case. The people who should be imprisoned are the court members that actually imprisoned this man.

Another thing, is any moron who decides to live in a country dominated by the UN is begging for a life manipulated by communist liberals. I pray the Lord comes before it happens here.

What is so sad, is this is what we'd be dealing with if the LIBS got their way. We'd have censorship to the max. But, they wouldn't care because they'd be gone when it mattered most!

A Liberal Response

The same buddy who helped me with the title Swiss Cheese Security Systems, Inc is also the same person from Paradox or Paradigm. He semi-redeems himself every now and then and below is one aspect. He probes the liberal black muslim radio host in Indianapolis called "Abdul in the morning". This is the second letter he has allowed me to see. Sadly enough, the radio person responded similarly in the other email sent. I'll let you read and then comment later.

Abdul.....
I heard your show today. I guess I just don't buy into the "label" game. These labels are the equivalent of the ol' school yard taunts of "chicken" etc.....

Instead of asking if people are Islamaphobic, you should ask yourself an honest question: "Do people have a good reason to be afraid of Islam??" Can we look around this modern day not have a good reason to put anything Muslim under the microscope??? Abdul....there are at least 14 different violent conflicts going on around the globe right now. Guess what they all have in common..... Those that practice the religion of peace. Muslims attacking Hindus. Muslims attacking Catholics. Muslims attacking Jews. Muslims attacking Budhists. Muslims attacking Muslims. Muslims attacking Martians...... Bombings at a Bali nightclub. Even France was burning a few months ago. Great Britain had to crack down.

Are all Muslims violent?? No. But I am tired of hearing the baloney that your religion is being hijacked by a few radicals. Please stop telling me that my eyes don't see what they see. The peaceful Muslims are the true fringe. Thanks for letting us know about those Muslims that help get those guys in Toledo. But, it's insane to be in a religion that will kill you if you say they are violent. Isn't that nuts?? Ironic...but nuts. They've been burning up stuff, killing people, beating people over at friggin' cartoon???

Let's get this straight...... the Danish made the cartoon. But they are screaming "Death to Israel!" Ok. Their violent reactions only validate the cartoons. Muhammad with a bomb on his head.

In just a few weeks there will be yet another blasphemous movie depicting Jesus in a perverted way. But as always, Christians will protest with the pen, the pulpit, and the pocket book. Ron Howard need not hide like Salman Rushdie. We still don't know where he ran to.

Has Christianity lost its footing before?? Heck yes. But it finds it's center and gets back on track. That's because there is no comparison between Muhammad and Jesus. If their lives are the examples of how each religion should be played out, why is it a surprise to see the bloodshed and violence in the countries where Islam dominates? Muhammad spread his gospel with the sword and he robbed caravans.
He married an 8-year old girl.

Why is a surprise that even in the wrong paths the church has taken from time to time it comes back its core of love, and equality. That's beacuse Jesus spread his message with his tongue. That's how He lived His life. He never stole or killed. So even when the Crusades went down, there's no way it could have lasted long and still be in line with the masters' life.

Islam never brought the golden era they believed it would. The countries where Islam dominates are still 3rd World at best. Women beaten, slave trade, poverty.....

Contrast that to the western world where Christianity took root. The schools, the technology, medical acheivements, space exploration, the charitable organizations. It was the US that gave those nations the ability to pump that oil. Yet even now...with all of that wealth, they are still third world.
Name 5 major contributions to mankind that have come from these countries in the last 100 years. Islam is the root cause. But no one wants to say it. Islam is the reason why democracy will not work in Iraq. And as long as the "sure" way to heaven is to "kill yourself", there will always be violence. Who doesn't want to go to heaven?? Right?

Look....I'm glad you happen to be the "fun-lovin'" type. God bless ya'. But you really need to take off the rose colored glasses and start to see things as they are. You and Muslims like you are the fringe. There is too much going on around the globe for me to believe otherwise. And I truly believe that if not for American laws to keep them in check, there are some in this country who would like to go off, like those on TV.

So.....am I Islamophobic? You betcha'''...... Until something changes. The burden of proof is on you guys.

You still need some better music on your show.

There were a lot of yahoo smiley faces in the article, but that would have taken much more time to post this so I left it out. Now, you would think that there would be a tirade after this well stated email (despite the grammatical problems).

Abdul's response:
How about the fall of communism?

My buddy responds:
Wow....now we have Mister Putin. I feel better already. But isn't that attributed to Ronald Reagan?

Abdul's response:
Actually it was the us working with the islamic rebels in afghanistan
that drove out the soviets and led the collaspe of communism. and
here's another thought, in the last hundred years the europeans
colonized the arabic world and this what they end up with, just look at
how the maps are drawn. we get (to a point) what we sew.

What? Huh? Egg-Sueeze-Me? I bacon powder? Run that by me once more? But, then I realized; that's what every liberal who pretends to be a vessel of intelligence will do. When they have no answer; they throw up their hands; generate a tizzy and leave you stupified by the lack of intelligence. It was the same thing David Letterman did to O'Reilly, by not answering the questions and duck and dove.

Swiss Cheese Security Systems, INC

I'd like to credit my buddy Cellus on the title. My original title was Porous Ports; however I like the cheesier one better. Personally, I don't like this idea of pulling our pants down in front of our enemies. This would be opening the floodgates to the greatest level of terrorism attacks the country has ever face.

Can anyone say Trojan Horse?

Cellus did tell me also that Bill O'Reilly posited that America receives a lot of intelligence reports from the Saudis/UAE and to slap them in the face by rejecting this deal would not help us in the long run. So, Bush's 'fight' for the ports is only a play-action for the sake of the Saudis/UAE because it will most likely be negated when Congress overrules his veto to any legislation against this deal.

Thank you Gayle for the pic!

Best friend or freak on the block

When minorities hoodlums can't get along, I say we pull the prison officials out and gas the place! We are already spending billions to keep them in there. I say the ones who are not repeat offenders of small crimes need to be transfer to another facility then, drop the VX gas on the rest of these savages. For crying out loud! PRISON? Being big boy on the block wasn't good enough and landed the fool in jail and now they take the stinking bravado attitude in lockup? I know this is age old but personally these vermin need to be eradicated now! Obviously, they are not being 'rehabilitated'!

Pieces be with you

Reading this article, I wondered if the people so opposed to the war would care. This kind of violence existed long before we stepped foot on muslim soil. Yet, it's Bush's fault. He was 21 years old during the Six-Day War and that's why Egypt lost. It couldn't have been because of the military genius of Operation Focus; it was the existence of our dear President.

Back to reality, I find it interesting that if the muslims are willing to attack one another, what delivers us from the perview of justice when their done annihilating one another?

US Armed Forces and a President with the 'juevos' to do something about it! So, I really am enamoured with the love seen in this article. See, what the reporter failed to understand was that the bombing was only part of the demolition project because they're looking to build bigger and better mosque for when things actually become calm!

21 February 2006

No Pun Intended

Talk about getting the crap getting beaten out of you. The guy in this story made a fatal flaw in picking a freak as a roomate. I guess he never saw anything like this coming. My only beef with this story is why Teresa Heinz Kerry couldn't have done the same on her monthly cycles when John forgot to stock the cabinets.

Bush Urinated on my Chitterlings

I had a interesting conversation Sunday evening with another wonderful brother in the faith. It blew me away as to how much hatred he has for ,,,,,, Bush. I had to pause because the name seems to cause great emotion to swell in many 'Moorites' (not a decendant of an Israelite).

On many of occasions, he actually asked me to not mention the 'name'. Yet, I found myself concerned that someone so mature in the faith could harbor such bitterness. If, I hated my ex (she screwed me well), as much as many Christians I know hate Bush; I'd be forbidden from many activities. Matthew 5:21-26, speaks out against such vehemence. I was watching an excellent documentary on the History channel on the The 761st 'Black Panther' Tank Battalion. I was talking about how amazing they were and how they managed to only loose about three dozen guys of close to 700. He then gets into the fact that more whites are dying in Iraq than blacks. Huh?

I didn't see the correlation and asked him to clarify. Then the tirade began. "More whites are dying out there because of the one who started the war!"

I couldn't believe my ears! If you met this guy, you'd love him. He doesn't hold punches and is flat out honest. I guess, I honestly never expected such a crazy response from him. Yet, he did love Fahrenhate 4.5/5.5! Now, he has been through a lot growing up; with prejudice people and all; BUT as a believer in Jesus Christ, it must be relinquished at the Cross! I had to do it with my ex, and he and every other Christian BUSH-HATER needs to as well. I am going to try to write him a letter today, so any feedback and prayer would be quite appreciated in that I'll be up to my eyeballs in code.

Trash Operated Garbarge Disposal

I know it may seem harsh, but when I look at this story, all I can see is a criminal helping us out with other criminals. Yes, justice needs to be served; but I think it could have been completed; if the guy had then turn on himself. They did it in Columbine and other crazy massacres; why not here? But, my two (2) concerns are: 1) the unknown bodies are not people not affiliated with crime. I pray it wasn't someone minding their own business who crossed paths with this lunatic; and 2) this guy's popularity. Many of these guys feed on the fame and it is part of their whole depravity in that they look for the attention in being morally reprehensible. I say let's cut him off from television and all vehicles that push news media and leave him in solitude until his execution.

Am I conflicting in any way?

I'll Be Back!

Sorry, I haven't posted in a bit. I will be posting in about a few hours. I have been in programming hell for the last week and I am about to come up for air. Also, I have been trying to catch a person who hacked one of the systems supported by one of my co-workers. The person was real smart; but I am better and will catch them soon! Thank you all for checking in on me!

The Day After Tomorrow

With the North East covered in such amazing snow, I had to wonder: Is this the culmination of the movie of The Day After Tomorrow? I really enjoyed the movie, but I'll let you check out Robosquirrel's Blogsite for the information on Global Warming. Plus, he is in the middle of it and has a couple of funny posts on the whole issue.

A Friendly Embrace vs a Twisted One

Did Bush take this guy out to dinner before 'fondling him'. Isn't evidently clear in the picture that they are in bed with one another? Come on people, can you see it?

Well, I can't! I look at these two (2) photos and try to make sense of something obviously clear hear. Our first photo was taken when? Five (5) years ago!!!! You mean there is nothing even closer in time to link the President to this fool? Hello, people... What about Sandy Berger? Did he ever get proscecuted??? The libs, and msm is so embittered and desiring of tagging Bush for impeachment; that all other justice remains on the back burner. This is a shame because the country is basically at a stand still until they move beyond their childish games.

Now, when was picture number two (2) taken? Less than two (2) stinking weeks ago! Now, the libs, msm, and dummakratic party will try to not associate themselves with this kind of step but I assure you; they'd use the same tactic if they thought it would work. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't tell her to go down there. But, let's look at the photo again. Arm over the shoulder and NO SPACE separating them. Hmmmmm. Interesting. Picture one shows a respectful, three (3) foot separation; marking the 'handshake' as the only means of contact. Oops, maybe the camera shot is too high to see the President slipping him a twenty. I bet that's what the libs will be crowing about next. So, whatever you hear over the next few months; be prepared. If I am wrong, I will concede to my error in judgment. Until, then, enjoy hell you communists!!!!

The American Heart the left NEEDS!

It's the big talk of the town; but I credit Michelle Kwan with a lot courage. I like how she can realize that staying on would hurt the United States' chances of taking the gold home. She was appreciative of the respect that the country has given her these last years.

It's just too bad that the leftist and dummakrat party can't follow suit. They've lost the last two (2) elections and instead of pushing the country forward; they keep acting like idiots. Hey, Michelle: Can you come talk to the libs please?????

SHAME ON YOU!

I cannot believe that jerks like Joseph Lowery and President Jimmy Carter opted to slam President Bush during the funeral of Corretta Scott King! Lowery banters on the fact that there were no "WMDs" and Carter is complaining about wire tapping. QUESTION:

WHAT THE HELL DOES MRS. KING LIFE HAVE TO DO WITH WMDS AND WIRETAPS????????

I need to go hide in a corner. I am sorry but this is ridiculous!

Shame on you former-President Carter; shame on you Lowery (you're not deserving of the title of reverend or even Christian)!

My Stargate Teams

I guess it's time to do the deed and list my bloggers that I read and why I chose them. I thought I could just add the list and go from there; but that would be cheap, especially after Bloviating Zeppelin's "Usual Suspects". So, as a geek; I will geekify my bloggers to make them as relevant to me in the hopes of turning you all into geeks. Also, your team number designation doesn't infer superiority or inferiority; just be happy to be a team member. (from left to right on pics)

Team SG-1
Captain Samantha Carter: Liberty Zone. She is military and brilliant the same. Also, there is A Female Soldier's Story 2.

Colonel Jack O'Neill: Armed & Christian. Although, I want to be O'Neill because I am as cynical as he is (and because he leads the team), I'll defer here because I think Jay better fits the build here (plus, there is the whole pigment thing). He is a great leader to lead a platoon when called to war.

Teal'c: Self-Explanatory! LOL! He's a warrior at heart, a father and a leader to his people, the Jaffar. He fought to free them from their enslavement and dependence on Goa'uld symbiodes (reminds me freeing blacks from the Democratic Party and welfare/assistance programs). And he still fights as part of the team.

Daniel Jackson: Dumb Looks Still Free. Nice coincidence on the name. A technical mind that reviews things from a philosophical bent. Plus comes with the ability to translate a lot of things in a unique way.

General Hammond: Educated Shoprat. What's cool about this is that I see Shoprat as the guy who knows someone who knows someone. Many of my connections have been made through Shoprat's blog.

Team SG-2
Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell: Bloviating Zeppelin. Another crazy leader with enough sarcasm to keep everyone straight.

Major Samantha Carter: Patriotic Mom & It's a Dog's Life. Sorry to combine, but I wanted to keep it in here. Both minds are great and hearts of gold.

General Henry Landry: Crazy Politico. He shares what he needs to and is another leader who can educate.

Daniel Jackson: Frankly Opinionated. He is an educater and also, reminds me too much of Sam Elliot.

Teal'c: Peace on That. Sorry, it's a color thing. LOL! James is probably the voice that will reach the general populace of Black America because I am too much of an Unlce Tom to be listened to. Oh well!

Team SG-3
Lt. Aiden Ford: ABFreedom. Another fighter & warrior w/no time for nonsense.

Teyla Emmagan: Lone Pony. A fighter, teacher, & leader. She could be as hot as this woman but we'll never know because she has to remain underground.

Major John Shepherd: People Covered in Fish. Yeah, robosquirrel. He has the military expertise to lead squadrons and my vote of confidence and appreciation.

Dr. Elizabeth Weir: Gayle. A leader who is part of our front line on the South.

Dr. Rodney McKay: That's my neurotic other personality.

I ran out of photo ideas to communicate my other SG-Teams. Maybe when they let me on the show; I'll come up with characters for the rest of you.

Our Little Angel is Flying

The definition of an angel that it is a messenger.

Today, folks, we have another angel. On the heals of Rebbeca making the Washington Post, another star is born. Our little girl from the Liberty Zone is turning heads, too. She posted the information about this, but I was too happy for her to just let it sit on the remote site of the newspaper. I also created PDF copies of the article and sent it to her if you want copies.

Activist Says Taking Mystery Out of Guns Key to Children’s Safety

By Linda McCarty
The Winchester Star
STEPHENS CITY — When snipers were killing people during October 2002 in the metropolitan Washington, D.C., area, Nicki Fellenzer’s coworkers sometimes asked her to accompany them on errands outside their office building in Vienna.

nicki1“They know that I carry a gun,” said Fellenzer, who has a permit to carry a concealed weapon with her at all times.

Fellenzer, 34, keeps a holstered .40-caliber, Glock 23 pistol in her purse.

“It’s really small, and it’s cute,” she said, as she pulled the gun from her purse on the the kitchen table.

Fellenzer and her husband, Wally, have several guns that are kept secure in a safe at their home near Stephens City.

Last week, Fellenzer got those belonging to her and spread them out on the kitchen table, while her 8-year-old son, Daniel, stood beside her.

Fellenzer said she doesn’t worry about having guns in the house because she and her husband have taught Daniel and their daughters, Sarah, 10, and Anna, 16, about gun safety.

“The No. 1 rule around this house is that a gun is not a toy,” Fellenzer said. “Our children know this and understand it. They are drilled regularly on gun safety.”

“What is the No. 1 rule?” she asked Daniel.

“Don’t point a gun at anyone you don’t intend to shoot,” he said.

“And where do you keep your finger, when holding a gun,” Fellenzer asked her son.

“Not on the trigger, unless you’re ready to shoot,” he said.

“Daniel could recite gun rules before he could tie his shoes,” Fellenzer said.

nicki4Fellenzer believes it’s important to teach children gun safety because it takes the mystery out of guns and makes a house more safe.

“Every single person I know who has taught their children about guns have taken the mystery out of them,” Fellenzer said, “so that children don’t feel like they have to sneak to look at them and hold them.”

Fellenzer said, though, that her children know better than to touch one of the guns in the house without asking.

“They never, ever handle one without permission,” she said. “If they know they can ask and get to examine a gun, they won’t sneak around and get it. They also know that when I tell them that a gun can kill someone, it’s not a joke.”

But, she said, there is never a weapon that is reachable when other children are at their home.

“That’s responsible parenting,” she said.

Fellenzer said the father of an 8-year-old boy in Germantown, Md., who shot a 7-year-old girl at his day care center on Jan 24, was a prime example of irresponsible parenting.

“There was nothing except responsible-parenting and good supervision that could have prevented it,” Fellenzer said

She noted that the father was a convicted felon and, by law, should not have had a weapon in the first place. The father also had the gun in an unlocked storage container on a closet shelf, and his son had unsupervised access to the gun.

“Maryland has a safe-storage law, which means guns have to be in a secure place or secured by a gunlock,” Fellenzer said.

Fellenzer said she became interested in weapons in 2001, specifically gun rights, and became an active supporter of the Second Amendment, which says: “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.”

“I was born in the Ukraine,” she said, “and we never had the freedoms we have here. I have fully come to realize our Second Amendment rights are what safeguards our freedoms.”

Fellenzer had no problem securing a concealed weapon permit because she served four years in the Army and is now a member of the Army National Guard’s Headquarters and Headquarters Co. of the 29th Infantry Division at Fort Belvoir.

“I’m a public affairs specialist,” she said. “I do broadcast and print journalism.”

Fellenzer’s National Guard enlistment took her to Louisiana a few days after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in August.

“I was there for the whole month of September with the National Guard,” Fellenzer said. “It was really horrifying. You can see the picture of what the hurricane did, but you can’t smell the smells of sewage, rot, chemicals, and death. The area looked and smelled like something from a Stephen King novel.”

Fellenzer came to the United States with her parents in 1980. “We emigrated to New York City, but my parents then moved to (Philadelphia),” she said.

After graduating from high school in 1989, Fellenzer earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore in 1993.

She joined the Army a year later and was stationed in Germany, where she met her husband, who was also stationed there.

“I was a broadcast journalist on the American Forces Network in Frankfurt,” Fellenzer said.

Fellenzer was discharged from active duty in 1998 and moved with her husband to Winchester, where she was a news broadcaster at WINC Radio and its sister station, the former WAPP.

Since 2000, she’s been a writer with a direct-mailing marketing firm that focuses on politics and is based in Vienna.

Fellenzer is also very active in the political arena, particularly with gun-rights groups, and has written articles for the National Rifle Association and the Woman’s Outlook Magazine.

Fellenzer said she also works hard at “dispelling myths circulated by gun-control groups.”

“The biggest thing that bothers me about the gun-control groups is that they treat children like they’re stupid,” Fellenzer said. “My kids are little people, who have been taught how to handle guns correctly. I believe all children should be taught gun safety.”

Paradox or Paradigm

There is this ever pervasive mentality that the general populace maintains in reference to compassion and love. It's quite saddening to think that these are the past, current and future leaders of our society albeit locally, nationally, and globally. This obscure thinking presupposes that peace, compassion and love cannot coexist with a warrior spirit. Yet, that is the very nature that makes us peaceful (fighting the realities of aggression), compassionate (fighting the realities of misfortune and aiding another), and loving (fighting the realities of our inner selfishness and meeting the needs of others). To some degree we are all warriors; the issue is how do we wish to use that gift? Let me preface that, this blog (started 02FEB06) is a result of an ongoing debate with one of my very beloved Christian best friends. This friend is a friend all of you should have. He has honor, integrity, character beyond measure. Yet, even he fails to miss the mark as we all do; and one area is in reference to my Warrior spirit. He contends that a Christian cannot be armed because it contradicts the message of the Scriptures and I contend that being armed is a necessity and practical discourse of the day and times we live in; "a fallen world"!

Paradox

He consistently crowed that "you can't preach and pack heat". However, the inference is that the person packing has the mentality to inflict harm on someone. He justified defending yourself in your home; but offered no solution for one traveling on the street or going to the store. He contends that one packing heat, has lost trust in God. He cited the famous missionary, Jim Elliot, who chose not to shoot the very savages who chose to kill him. Yet, this is not the standard for operation because every situation brings its own level of discretion. As a believer, who has endured a lot and still have much growing to do; I took great offense to his statement. Yet, he is entitled to his opinion. My buddy stated that mace and cars can't kill. That's wrong! You can mace someone with respiratory problems and the right dosage could possibly trigger a fatally adverse response. Cars can back into and run over people, some survive and some do not. My buddy akins the Leftist's peaceful approach to the war on terror to a worldview sculptured by Gandhi/MLK's peaceful approach to resolving conflict. Yet, he does the same thing with criminals on the street. If it is an issue of trust, then we all need to stop locking our cars, and homes because we would be telling God that we do not trust Him enough. Yet, why do we do it? Why do we lock our doors?

Paradigm

We lock our doors because we understand the reality of the fact that man is fallen and depraved. There are people out there who would seek to do us harm given the opportunity. Don't be fooled! Identity fraud can be the result of violent crimes or it can precede it. We have become so engulfed with electronic crime that we have forgetten how low people will go to accomplish something regardless of those affected. Pay attention to the news people; you'll always find a crime there. If you don't have a television; listen to the radio. No radio; check the internet. No internet, talk to a friend. No friend, no problem then; stay in your bubble while the rest of society deals with the degenerates. I am so glad the Bible does not tell us with what Cain killed Abel, because ten to one; radicals would ban the use of it.

Personally, Christians carrying firearms falls under the category of 'Christian Liberty'. Meaning, it is not a main teaching that affects your overall perspective and understanding of who God is. So, is there a paradox? No! I repeat, No! If, guns can be seen as a lack of trust in God, then we need to discard tasers, mace, knives, cell phones, cars and any other device we could use to deter the criminal's intent to do us bodily harm. What were the previously mentioned items? Tools! So, if we ban one, we ban all. Regardless of the stagmatisms that come associated with each; the purpose is to defend oneself against an attacker. So, if I carry mace, does it mean that I have more trust in God than I do were I to carry a firearm? Again, this is post-modern pragmatic thinking. Also, there are the recreational uses with firearms that then come under fire. I have another friend who has expressed concern in the fact that firearms are some of mankind's worst inventions. I actually think that it's a lot more humane than say 'germ warfare'. However, every tool, everything that we possess has good benefits for it; however depraved minds dirty the better purposes for them. Look at marriage, the environment, the internet, etc. All beautiful aspects and avenues in humanity yet can also be tools for homosexuals (I have no problem with the individual), toxic dump sites, online pornography, etc. To presuppose a problem with all guns, is to basically put the focus on everywhere but the necessary target: the human heart. Depraved and deceitful it is (Jeremiah 17:9). Even the one pronouncing judgment. I am sure, that we can find issues in the gun-phobes life that doesn't 'square' with the Biblical precepts they pronounce on those who carry. However, the moment we decide to then say, that their preferences are not as severe as the others; we have then sentenced oneself to 'situational ethics'; which plays no part in the scheme of God's plans because He is impartial.

Further:
There are three kinds of people
There are three kinds of people:

predators: (i.e., those who cannibalize their own species) alpha
prey (i.e., those who allow themselves to be eaten) beta
those who refuse to be either (i.e., an armed libertarian) gamma

If you're not predatorial (the first prerequiste for gamma), yet you don't have the will or training to defend yourself, then you are by default prey. As the harshly accurate saying goes:
There are no victims, only volunteers.
So, that you do not become prey, you must embrace a little bit of the Warrior spirit.
Mothers defending their offspring can exhibit terrifying ferociousness, but they must be trained to become ferocious when protecting themselves. Men do not seemed to have this deeply ingrained programming, or if they do, they allow it to be weeded out through socialization. To be a complete man, he must retain a healthy portion of his innate savagery.
(Boston Gun Bible, 4/2-4/3)
The Warrior Spirit
Of every One-hundred men, Ten shouldn't be there,
Eighty are nothing but targets.
Nine are real fighters...
We are lucky to have them...They make the battle
Ah, but the One, One of them is the Warrior
and He will bring the others back.

- Hericletus (circa 500 B.C.)
(Boston Gun Bible, 4/3)

I bring this up because, I believe many people (Christians included) fail to understand the mindset of many carriers of firearms. I cited these passages because of the fact that the world needs Warriors! To route out evil and establish order; there needs to be those who will hold the offenders responsible when there is no one to help out. My friend even believes that it is solely the job of the police to protect him and his family. Don't get me wrong; I appreciate the hard work and sacrifice they make; but I would equally disrespect them if I didn't play my part in the whole scheme of things. The role law enforcement plays is for the community rather than the individual; ergo 2nd Amendment. Even in Police Academy, it stated Community and not Individual who is protected. When there are no threats to be concerned with; we will no longer need to defend ourselves, family and country.

People want guns completely eradicated, which is literally impossible! Yet, were it possible? Then do we move to knives? Was not that the choice for Jack the Ripper? Long before guns existed; was there no crime? Thank God, Ghengis Khan did not have an AK47 or it would have been worse than the swords and spears he used.

My buddy's argument has turned as of (04FEB06) to it's okay for Christians to possess firearms, yet not while witnessing. Again, where do we draw the line? I do not deny God's ability to provide and protect me; but why be defenseless outside the home rather than in the home. What do you do if you're about to witness to someone at your home? Do you pause to go hide all your weapons? What if this is another depraved mind that you have allowed in your home, who has only one thing in mind? God's Sovereignty always wins the day; but we are also expected to be wise and prudent. Killers show up in all forms today. They can look as crazy as Charles Manson or as innocent as David Ludwig. The question is; how prepared will you be when the moment comes?
