I cannot believe that jerks like Joseph Lowery and President Jimmy Carter opted to slam President Bush during the funeral of Corretta Scott King! Lowery banters on the fact that there were no "WMDs" and Carter is complaining about wire tapping. QUESTION:
WHAT THE HELL DOES MRS. KING LIFE HAVE TO DO WITH WMDS AND WIRETAPS????????
I need to go hide in a corner. I am sorry but this is ridiculous!
Shame on you former-President Carter; shame on you Lowery (you're not deserving of the title of reverend or even Christian)!
All occasions are appropriate for slamming our president in the eyes of some.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see it, but if that's what happened it's really low. Her, or anyone elses funeral, should never be used as a stage for any political gain.
ReplyDeleteLack of class and good taste.
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Neo. Reminds me all to well of Paul Wellstone's funeral. Wellstone was a beloved Senator, and the libs shoot themselves in the foot by politicizing his funeral. Minnesota's a swing state and we don't take kindly to that sort of tastless behavior.
ReplyDeleteI second robosquirrel's "good for you!"
ReplyDeleteBut maybe we need to look at it this way: "once again they make asses out of themselves in front of the American people!" They will never get back into office this way. If they don't know that by now, they are pathetically stupid. Okay okay okay! We already know they are pathetically stupid, I know. But many people who may be sitting on the fence may move a little more to the right everytime they show themselves for exactly who they really are!
One more thing: if they ever start acting like normal, civilized and patriotic Americans with this countries' well-being at heart, then we will be in trouble because it will be exactly that: "Acting."
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you. I watched the funeral live on Fox News and I was stunned to hear these statements made. They should truly be ashamed and ask for forgiveness.
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a wonderful day. (smiling)
shoprat: in this post-modern paradigm; you're right!
ReplyDeleteyaknail: to do so would mean that he stands 'firm' with his convictions; yet with the absence of them; "his feet are firmly planted in midair"
everyone else: ditto.
Hello Neo Soc:
ReplyDeleteThis is utterly sickening! Ever since the election of 2000, when the Democrats couldn't accept that they had lost the election; this has been going on. Continually, but with increased fever, voluume and audacity. It has deteriorated to ideocy. The Shocking part of it all is that there is a pretty large voter bloc that see this as everyday business. Mental midgets with microwave mentality, demand results instantly, without forethought and test.
In my lifetime, I have heard many "famous" sayings. Of course, "give me liberty....., and others, but the first of them that caused me to really do a mental disection of the phrase was: "If America is ever destroyed, it will be from within, and not without." That was spoken by President Abraham Lincoln. I probably, got it around 1950 or so. Today, this seems so relevant. These same people that rant against our Commander-in-Chief, also Suck up to Hugo Chavez, Harry Belafonte, and other Socialists.
Nuf Sed
It was a display of true anti-americanism and one that should never be tolerated!! What a disgrace but not a suprise...the democrats are scrambling to get attention and don't care at who's expense. It's really pathetic.
ReplyDeleteAs per normal ol' Jimmy doesn't have his history quite nailed. Let's see, WHAT administration wiretapped King -- hmm. . .lemme see. . .oh yeah! That would be the KENNEDY administration!
ReplyDeleteWhat administration okayed wiretaps during his own presidency? Hmmm. . .lemme see. . .oh yeah! That would be the CARTER administration!
Hey, far as the Dems go, it's all publicity and as publicity, it's all good. Class and taste matter not.
