Surrogates
Just watched the movie on Redbox and I believe that you will enjoy it. Interesting plot. The biggest thing I appreciated was the depiction of what humanity can become like when the conveniences of technology become "too convenient" and how we as humanity can almost regress. Watch it.

From American Pie to Healthcare Bye
This is brilliant! You need to run this on a Windows machine or at least have a MAC with Windows Media Player version 9.

Something to read for the Haitians
While we do not know everything that is going on, I pray that you can read this out loud for our friends and family that we have not heard from. Though the silence is deafening, our Lord is not.
M'ap delivre l', m'ap fè yo respekte l'.
16 M'ap fè l' viv lontan, m'a fè l' wè jan m'ap delivre l'.

Praying for Haitians
I wanted to post this yesterday but too much was going on. I did find out that one of my cousins made it back from the Port-Au Prince the night before the quake. I am now waiting to here about the rest of the families. My heart is truly torn by the lives lost there. Yet, my God reigns and was not caught off guard. While I may grieve the lives lost, I am happy that many more will live with another opportunity to receive His grace through Christ Jesus. I want thank everyone for their prayers and support.

Amazing Art
I got this from a friend. It's powerful.
Watch this amazing Video Clip . . . but, first, read this properly, all the way through…
This video shows the winner of "Ukraine’s Got Talent," Kseniya Simonova, 24, drawing a series of pictures on an illuminated sand table showing how ordinary people were affected by the German invasion during World War II. Her talent, which admittedly is a strange one, is mesmeric to watch.
The images, projected onto a large screen, moved many in the audience to tears, and she won the top prize of about £75,000.
She begins by creating a scene showing a couple, sitting holding hands on a bench under a starry sky, but then warplanes appear, and the happy scene is obliterated.
It is replaced by a woman’s face crying, but then a baby arrives, and the woman smiles again. Once again, war returns, and Miss Simonova throws the sand into chaos from which a young woman’s face appears.
She quickly becomes an old widow, her face wrinkled and sad, before the image turns into a monument to an Unknown Soldier.
This outdoor scene becomes framed by a window as if the viewer is looking out on the monument from within a house.
In the final scene, a mother and child appear inside, and a man standing outside, with his hands pressed against the glass, saying goodbye.
The Great Patriotic War, as it is called in Ukraine, resulted in one in four of the population’s being killed, with eight to 11 million deaths out of a population of 42 million.
Kseniya Simonova says: "I find it difficult enough to create art using paper and pencils or paintbrushes, but using sand and fingers is beyond me. The art, especially when the war is used as the subject matter, even brings some audience members to tears. And, there’s surely no bigger compliment."

Daily Negro Dialect (DND)
Inspired by our powerful Senator from Nevada, I created a blog that will mirror this one and some of your own posts. However, I will do my best to translate the post into Negro dialect so that those who willingly chose to drop out of school or are lacking my light skinned complexion my understand the words coming out of my mouth.

Where science ends and speculation begins
Slaves did not build the pyramids
I willingly admit that I am not an archaelogist. I find it quite fascinating! Maybe a field of study in the future. But I digress.
My only problem with story is the assumption that slaves could not have been involved in the process because a grave was too nice for a slave. Does the science ever account for the possibility that they chose not to follow cultural norms? Maybe the person buried was a slave who was of noble heart. Maybe this slave could have saved the lives of countless others in some awe-inspiring way. But to debunk history because of an anomaly is completely fool hearted.
Personally, I think it smells of propoganda to continually erase any vestiges of Judeo-Christian history from our minds, thus removing the traces of humanities greatest sins against other humans. That is just me speaking from my Christian presuppositions (though I am honest to admit it). But seriously consider the fact that there are people denying the Holocaust even with live witnesses who were subject to it's atrocities. So, I am not surprised by the findings of this article.

Avatar is racist?
Avatar is racist
And the stupidity continues. I saw the movie and I liked it. Long but good. Granted there were some themes that I could have done without. At least it was not intellectually offensive like "The Happenings!" Yet, even the maker of that horribly written story had the right to make whatever they so desired. Why? I am glad you asked!
It is their money to waste!
Cameron is a business man. Make what sells! If the White man wins in Pocahontas, Dances with Wolves and even Avatar, so be it!
At the end of the day, money must be made! People need to be paid and thus the economy continues.
Would it have been nice to see something different from the consistent Hollywood theme? Yes! But that is not their responsibility to change. It is ours!
That is why my buddy and I have finished the story of a minority superhero. Just like Denzel is about to come out with the book of Eli. So, I say to those who expect Hollywood to play fair, "Stop whining and make your own movie!"

Seeing is believing!
I did the plunge after 27 years of glasses and moved to contacts and I love it! It took some time to get them inserted, but this is amazing! I see everything! Uh, maybe I need to take these out! Just kidding! I don't think I can ever go back to glasses! Next step, braces!!! I know that will be more painful!
Tired of Cat and Mouse Games
I understand that women like a chase, but if you have to go through a minefield butt-naked and blindfolded, then I will leave this chase to the crazier and more desperate men. Chasing does add a little excitement, but if there is a desire for the the obstacle course to make the average man require counseling sessions when it was done, was it really worth it to make things that challenging? And really, are you all that? I know we all have our tendencies to be self-absorbed (trust me, been there, done it and collecting royalties from the book) but come on! Am I completely off about this?
