The "two turtle doves" refers to the Old and New Testaments.*
It is interesting how people will see the Old Testament as nothing but God's wrath but completely miss His enduring mercy despite the disobedience and depravity of His people. The Bible in Its entirety is replete with God's love, mercy and grace. The Bible is God's complete love letter to humanity. Many of us struggle with the concept that someone could love us this way. We've seen so much negativity in our lives that to apprehend such a love is rejected. Some also don't believe that they're deserving of such a love. To tell you the truth, none of us are, which is why this is so awesome. We were not picked because of pigment, pedigree or potential. We were pulled out of darkness because of His Amazing Love!
I pray that today, the Lord will touch the hearts of every person living and help them see how much God loves them. Even though we reject Him, His love is still available while we have breathe in our lungs.
