Comfortable

Two sisters, one blonde and one brunette, inherit the family ranch..

Unfortunately, after just a few years, they are in financial trouble.

In order to keep the bank from repossessing the ranch, they need to purchase a bull so that they can breed their own stock.
Upon leaving, the brunette tells her sister, 'When I get there, if I decide to buy the bull, I'll contact you to drive out after me and haul it home.'

The brunette arrives at the man's ranch, inspects the bull, and decides she wants to buy it.

The man tells her that he will sell it for $599; no less.

After paying him, she drives to the nearest town to send her sister a telegram to tell her the news.
She walks into the telegraph office, and says, "I want to send a telegram to my sister telling her that I've bought a bull for our ranch. I need her to hitch the trailer to our pickup truck and drive out here so we can haul it home."

The telegraph operator explains that he'll be glad to help her, then adds, it will cost 99 cents per word.

Well, after paying for the bull, the brunette realizes that she'll only be able to send her sister one word.

After a few minutes of thinking, she nods and says, "I want you to send her the word 'comfortable'."

The operator shakes his head. "How is she ever going to know that you want her to hitch the trailer to your pickup truck and drive out here to haul that bull back to your ranch if you send her just the word 'comfortable'?"

The brunette explains, "My sister's blonde. The word is big.

She'll read it very slowly.... 'com-for-da-bul'."

Blonde Password

During a recent password audit, it was found that a blonde was using the following password:

When asked why such a big password, she said that it had to be at least 8 characters

My Office Space

Have you ever seen the movie Office Space? I am living in a way you would never believe. I am inspired to buy a red Swingline Stapler soon.

More Appreciative

Have you ever thought back about those relationships you wished never died. Sometimes I do. Two (2) women in my past have profoundly affected my present and I believe my future. One was with the first woman to whom I was engaged. We went our separate ways, but as I look back, she made more sacrifices than I realized. The second, who I assure you is not the stalker, had a different take on life. She brought out the best in me and helped me become less "green". Her advice, tough at times, was truly wise for a person of her age. For both of them, I pray the Lord will truly bless them as they have blessed me.

As I plow forward, I have a better perspective to take as new people come into my life.

Windows 7

If you have a computer older than two (2) years, replace and buy a new one! Get a computer with a 64bit processor and 4GB Ram (minimum). Windows 7 is a lot better than Vista. It runs ten (10) times faster and has much less overhead. In its BETA phase I was very unhappy with it because there were too many things that were reminiscent of Vista. Am I completely happy? Of course not! Who is ever completely happy? Buy it! Trust me! You'll love it!

I'm getting older

My 20th year high school came and went this past weekend and I was unable to be there. Maybe, I will sponsor the 30th if the funds come in the way I want it over the next several years. I have met up with a million (not exactly) people from school on FaceBook. It has been cool, but if one more person tries to get me to load a FaceBook app, I will scream. I barely have time to write on here because I am so busy with the books and my son. Here is a simple request, add a friend and be a friend by not adding those apps.

Little Man Getting Older

My son turned ten (10) this past weekend. He is finally a double-digit man! And I am really proud of him. He was blessed with money and chose to save up his money so he can buy gifts for his mother and sister for Christmas. Sometimes, I felt that he was learning nothing from me. But when he made this choice over buying the gift he wanted, I was humbled. He'll be getting the gift he wanted because of his Christ-like behavior.
I know the days will be growing shorter where hanging with me will not be so cool. I have already warned him that I will hug and kiss him in front of his friends when he is in high school. Worst part is that he knows I will do it to him.

Post Work Day 2

Second day of helping my buddy lay the posts for his privacy fence. This day went a lot smoother and faster. This was a very nice change from working on computers. It has been actually very therapeutic.

I can use my thumbs

Working on the fence a few days ago humbled me. The very next day I was only able to type, but my hands and joints were sore from the strenuous task. This old age thing is really not cool!

Post Work Day 1

My buddy needed help laying posts for a privacy fence. We hit a lot of hard clay and were all over the place. We hit a couple of meteor rocks that forced us to change direction. This was a humbling experience. I learned so much. But now I cannot feel my thumbs!
