Human beings created in the image of our Maker (Gen. 1:26) have one amazing feature that will always set us above all of God's other creation here on Earth. That would be intelligence/reason. I remember in Jurassic Park, they tried to make the velociraptors seem to be reasoning from the first to third movies; which was solely conjecture on the parts of many. But, I digress again. Being on the top of the design plain; I find it quite saddening when we don't use this God given ability to operate in life. In this article "American hostage killed in Iraq", I was saddened not because these are Christians, but because they were warned by the Iraqi and Western security officials repeatedly about moving around without bodyguards. The same applied for Jill Carroll and the others. Recall The Teen Journalist? What about my recent post about Americans coming around on what Islam is?.
How much more information does one need to say: "Maybe I shouldn't go"? Tom Fox and his other Christian peace activists buddies missed one crucial fact: THEY DON'T WANT PEACE!
At this point, to go over to Iraq and not be a member of our Armed Forces is a death certificate waiting to be signed! I will show respect for the families suffering, but I cannot in good conscience say these idiots deserve our symapthy!

ReplyDeleteTo the Muslim mind, there is no such thing as a noncombatant. You have three choices: convert to Islam, submit to the harsh rules & humiliation of the jizya, or you perish "by the sword." Anyone who does not convert is considered "actively fighting" against Islam because they are not actively submitting to it. The Quran is patently clear on this point, as is the rhetoric and spew we hear from the modern-day sabre rattlers.
ReplyDeleteI've said it often before, and it bears repeating--the main problem in our response to Muslims is that their thinking is so radically different from ours that many (including the Left) just cannot comprehend them at all. They are not content to have us out of the Middle East, nor are they the least bit interested in what good our humanitarian aid workers are trying to do or that some loony journalist wants to "reveal the true story about their brave peoples' struggle against the American Imperialist Running Dogs and our supposed Colonialist oppression. They want us to convert or die. That's all they want, and those are the only terms they will accept. They will not stop until we meet their conditions or until we wake up and put a stop to them.
Pope Urban II called for their expulsion from all the lands of Christendom, and I think it's way past time to do it again.

They can raise no flag nor make anything save demands. Those that bow they will use and extort and, finally kill. Those that do not bow down they will threaten and try to kill.
These beings who wish to rule only by their will and by fiat and give no respect to any lesser have one word to describe them. To these that tear down civilization to put nothing in its place, to these that destroy as they cannot conceive of creating, to these that respect no right, save their own to take and kill, there is but one word and one word only that fits. They self-describe by their actions.
Barbarians.
They may settle and civilize or they may die. They have chosen the latter. There is no third choice in this, ever.
And we shall help them on their way to greet Death. For that is what they ask for, so shall they get it in full measure.
To those who wish death, we will send it.
To those that try to treat with them as if they were civilized, they have told you what you will get.

It is a simple word and there are times when bluntness is needed. No one has taken up the challenge to show that Transnational Terrorists are *other* than barbarians. Let *them* come up with *nice* terms to describe them. And then explain the acts committed by those the term is applied to.
Barbarians are uncivilized humans. And so they are.
There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity. The former is cureable. Those that disagree and offer no logic or other idea fall into the latter. If they persist against all norms of civilization, then they, too, will be regarded as Barbarians and treated *just the same*.
Barbarians may settle and become civilized or they may be killed. There is no third option.
As I see it, that is where civilization has always stood and stands to this day.
