Slavery never ended: From the Cotton fields to the Ghetto

(This was a dialogue on FaceBook that shows that being the victim is so simpler than being a survivor. It was written by a friend and I jumped in to contribute).

This will get me in trouble as it has before. Chatting w a black friend. Presented FACTS. Facts don't matter. Blacks in this country are still harboring the feelings that it's the white man who suppresses them.

Mr. Facist Racist (FF) I had to pull off of the highway in the middle of Ohio for this one... You haven't said one thing that resembles a fact... Your complete ignorance of the plight of Blacks in this country is appalling and I'm embarrassed for you. Most of my 1,300 plus friends think you are a joke because you continue to spit out the same nonsense ...You don't want to hear facts, all you want to do is see if you can get more people to hate the President as much as you and the rest of your teabagger buddies do. So please...YOU do some research ... Better yet , maybe you should try to tell people what is so great about the republican party...What will it do for the country...Every Civil Right that Blacks have are because of the efforts of the Democratic Party and the Supreme Court... Republicans fought them all...or did you know that fact ??? Please change topics... You are getting nowhere with this one...

Mr. Facist Racist (FF) And yes, The White power structure has and continues to to do a masterful job of suppressing Blacks in this country.... I can give you countless examples from education, employment, housing...Shall I continue ??? Yet we persevere and attempt to thrive despite the obstacles...

UncleTom (me) “FF” - see American history Black & White and see that blacks had their Civil Rights in the 1800s because of the REPUBLICAN party. It was the Democratic Party that threatened them to vote democratic and created the Jim Crow laws. Blacks held govt. positions, as Republicans, through the 1800s but not until the 1930s as a Democrat.

UncleTom (me) This deals with the fact that black enterprise was thriving when they had civil rights by the Republican Party. They created colleges and universities. But, 18 white men came along and created the NAACP and moved blacks into govt. dependency.

UncleTom (me) Their masters changed from the cotton fields to the ghetto. Their plight, believing the MAN (republicans whites) are holding them back while the Gubbermant (democratic whites) understand their plight. So, tell me, outside of welfare, which tells black women that they don't need the fathers because Uncle Sam will foot the bill, what govt. program was created by the democrats that empowers blacks?

UncleTom (me) Instead, EBT is the strength of the black community and Ebonics is the way they express themselves. No it isn't! It's perpetuated ignorance! It's lowering the standard of intelligence and telling them that they don't have to succeed.

UncleTom (me) Tell me what's the plight of black kids that force them into flash mobs at Walmart and Bestbuy stores? Tell me what's the plight that causes them to play the Knockout Game? Oh, don't know that one? It's where they see a white, Asian, Hispanic or Uncle Tom like me and coldcock them for fun.

UncleTom (me) The plight of the black people IS BLACK PEOPLE! More blacks die at the hands of other blacks than any other ethnic group! Period!

UncleTom (me) BET is the masser lettin da po niggas have a lil' ownashup in sunthang. Yes, I said it! The problem is that most blacks refuse to see that they've been sold bag of lint! And Obama is carrying tons more!

UncleTom (me) I know very few blacks that are powerful because their Hope is Jesus and no govt. dependence! Maya Angelo beautifully says "Rise!" I go further to "Walk! No Run away from govt. dependence and once again contribute to society with pride rather than leech in shame!"

Another Concerned Caucasian #1 @ “FF”. Please share YOUR facts with us. What specific improvements have the Democratic party and their policies done for the black community in the last 30 years? Programs should be viewed on their successes and failures, NOT just their intentions. Lyndon Johnson was a renowned racist. He helped gut the original civil rights bill in 1957 as a Senator. He only signed the bill in 1964 for political expediency. He was barely able to convince enough Democrats in Congress to pass the bill. A higher percentage of Republicans voted for the Civil Rights Act of 1964 than did Democrats. It is the black community that alienates members of their own race when they think as individuals and do not tow the "democratic line". Look at how Condi, Clarence and others are treated if they are Conservative. They are called "uncle tom's". I am embarrassed for those that discourage individual thought among their own race! So many liberals were angry when Herman Cain said "the Democratic party have brainwashed the black community into voting for them" then polls come out showing 95+ of the black community voting for Obama and 0% voting for Romney. There is an old saying..."when everyone thinks alike, someone is not thinking".

UncleTom (me) Bill Cosby (famous black American comedian/actor) spoke up at the NAACP saying kids should spend money on Hooked on Phonics rather than $200 shoes. They laughed him of the stage. Wow! He saw that Materialism was killing them And they were content to remain ignorant, destitute and dependent upon the government.

Mr. Facist Racist (FF) Nothing like the howlings of the undercover Bigot...As soon as I get out of this car, I will attempt to educate you scholars of the Black condition .

Another Concerned Caucasian #2 To all BLACK persons who think they're are citizens of The United States of America. You are citizens thanks to ONE WHITE MAN. Since it sounds like the preponderance of you apparently choose to piss and moan (in this thread anyway), let me remind you that were it not for a REPUBLICAN who went by the name of, ABRAHAM LINCOLN, you sadly might still be in shackles. You're not are you? You have all kinds of laws set in place by white people to give you equal footing. Please quit your bitching or A) leave...NOW !! B) act like Clarence Thomas . See "LINCOLN" this November in a theater near you.
