Steeling back America?

Michael Steele has been elected as the chairman of the RNC. This move was purely political and way too late. This should have happened long before America elected a Black President. This move should have been played at least twenty (20) years ago. I am perplexed as to why it did not happen sooner given that the Republican party was the first to have Blacks serve in Congress and other political positions of power and influence. And that was in the 1800s! The Demorats did not add Blacks to party seats until the 1940s. Interesting. I applaud the Republican party for appointments like Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell (yuck), and Condi Rice (awwww yeaaaahhh!!!), but this move with Steele is more of a disappointment to me because its move is clearly understood.

  1. You're right Neo, but, I guess the saying "better late than never" covers it. He was considered by some as a possible VP pick for McCain. He undoubtably can do a lot more good running the party.

  2. I am more concerned about competence than skin color, and am more concerned about what he actually does.

To the others whom I have enjoyed over the years, don't waste you breath on those morons. We have better things to do like contributing to society in a positive way.
